Ember Ensemble is a Montreal-based quartet featuring soprano Elizabeth Polese, violinist Katelyn Emery, French hornist Florence Rousseau, and pianist Christopher Gaudreault.

Sparked by a bold new arrangement of Strauss’ Four Last Songs, Ember is all about bringing reimagined concert hall classics into chamber music halls and other intimate spaces—exploring what’s possible with our one-of-a-kind combination of instruments. We're passionate about commissioning new works and creating fresh arrangements that showcase the colour, warmth, and closeness of our sound.

After making our debut at Festival de Lanaudière in July 2025, we’re excited to bring this repertoire to more festivals and communities across Canada. Stay tuned—there’s more to come!
