Canadian soprano Elizabeth Polese has been praised as “powerful and engaging” (The Globe and Mail) across both new and traditional repertoire. A recent young artist at Detroit Opera, l’Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal, and Tanglewood Music Center, she is a Sullivan Foundation and Hnatyshyn Award winner. Her repertoire spans from Mozart to Messaien and she has recently performed roles such as Norina in Don Pasquale, The Governess in The Turn of the Screw, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, and Isabel in Lessons in Love and Violence across North America. A passionate chamber musician, she has performed with Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Orchestre Classique de Montréal, Société d'Art Vocal de Montreal, Ottawa Chamberfest, and Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival.
